Individuals Who Worked For More Than One Employer In 2019 May Be Eligible For Ui Contribution Refund

JUNEAU, Alaska — Alaska’s workers may be eligible for an Unemployment Insurance contribution refund if they worked for more than one employer during 2019, according to the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

“Alaskans who paid more than a total of $199.50 in Unemployment Insurance contributions during 2019, because they worked for more than one Alaska employer, are eligible for a refund,” said Commissioner Tamika Ledbetter.

Refund request forms with proof of earnings must be submitted by Dec. 31, 2020. Unemployment Insurance contributions paid by workers may be listed on workers’ W-2 forms in Box 14 or on pay stubs. Workers can also contact their employers for the information.

The refund form is online at https://labor.alaska.gov/estax/forms/eerefund.pdf or can be requested by mail from the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Employment Security Contribution, P.O. Box 115509, Juneau, AK 99811-5509.
