Pathways school to career
Pathways are short-term projects that bridge the gap between Special Education and Career and Technical Education (CTE).
Using the "Tools of the Trade" through hands-on learning allows students with a disability the opportunity to learn new skills and explore career paths.
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) funds projects you design that provides career exploration to promote the transition from school to postsecondary education, paid employment, or self-employment through subsistence activities.
Ongoing technical assistance for developing your Pathways proposal is provided through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation's Youth Transition Coordinator. Questions should be directed to Jim Kreatschman, jim.kreatschman@alaska.gov, or call (907) 465-6931.
