Eligible Training Providers List (Etpl) Of Alaska Faqs

question What is the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL)?

answerThis list includes educational or training programs that have been approved to receive Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funds (WIOA). Programs on this list meet specific employment, earnings, and completion rate standards.

question Why are some training programs included on the site and not others?

answerThere are various reasons for an organization not being on the ETPL that include but not limited to, not submitting or renewing an application for evaluation, not obtaining an Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) status, and/or poor performance.

question Why do I need to provide the required data elements?

answer The reporting requirements for the WIOA require course information on all students enrolled in training programs, not just for students receiving WIOA related funding. The required data elements provide the information needed to report outcomes for WIOA programs.

The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Employment and Training Services (DETS) is responsible for maintaining the ETPL. DETS collects all the data needed to make performance determinations and publishes the ETPL and required performance reports on behalf of each training provider.

questionMy organization is already on the ETPL and some information is missing or outdated. Where did the information come from and how do I get it updated?

answerThe ETPL database is populated with information from ACPE and the ETPL application. If the information listed on the ETPL is incorrect, please contact us and we will be glad to help.

question Can my programs be listed on the ETPL if I am located outside of Alaska?

answerNo, the ETPL only houses education and training programs in Alaska. However, Alaska does consider programs on other states ETPL as eligible to receive WIOA funding from Alaska as long as they are in good standing, or there is a formal reciprocal agreement in place between Alaska and the other state.

questionHow do I get started?

answerTo get on the ETPL ensure that you review the Eligible Training Provider List Operating Guide that outlines the requirements, responsibilities and process to become an eligible training provider. Then complete an application.
